I have owned this car for 6 years now and have done nothing but change the oil and tires. It is very reliable and problem free. I love it and will keep it as long as it drives me from A to B with no issues.....
    • Bought new, family hauler!

I bought this car new as a dealer leftover in January 2011. It has been virtually trouble free from day one. I do keep up on scheduled maintenance, and aside from 3 new sets of tires It has been a real champ. In the upper plain states we get a lot of snow and the extreme light weight of the Cube does not lend well for great traction in the snow. However it has a great heater and AC and with Automatic climate control it's always comfy inside. It's boxy shape and side swing door has allowed me to haul a new dishwasher, furniture, 8 foot 2 x 4's and an array of countless items that would never have fit in a regular trunk. Engine is a bit noisy, wind noise above 45 MPH is noticeable and the gas mileage is nearly identical on the highway as in the city although it does drop significantly in real cold weather. However I can't say enough about just how rock solid of a car this has been.
    • The Best First Car and Savior in An Accident

I first drove this quirky car via an Enterprise rental and fell in love with it. The easy handling, the style, and fuel efficiency were key points in my decision to purchase it as my first ever vehicle. I drove it all up and down the southern states (FL/GA/SC/NC/VA) for sports outings, as well as weekend trips down rocky dirt roads, through mud, and up and down mountains. I even slept in the front and back seats a few times due to exhaustion or the times when I misplaced my house keys, lol. Though it was advertised for a younger market I see a lot of older drivers with it, as it's easy to slide in and out of, versus having to crouch low in a car or climb into a truck. It was better for me to transport my mother home after back surgery recovery in my cube versus her Acura. The maintenance was super affordable. Gas super affordable ($18-25 in low grade gas to fill up the tank!) Front and back seats were comfortable-- my 6ft tall friends had plenty of knee and head space in the front seat, though the back was a bit cramped for anyone's knees. Modifying it was fun as well and then an accident totaled my cube. It honestly could have been repaired but the amount for repairs was better spent on a new vehicle, so now I have a 2012 cube and I've done even MORE with it--including taking out the back seat and living in it for 4.5 months for fun! If you have a spirit of adventure: ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE WITH THIS VEHICLE!
